Paulino Bernabe | M15 Cedar
Paulino Bernabe | M15 Cedar
As time advances, so does Paulino Bernabe’s shop. In this endless search for the perfect guitar, Bernabe has decided to blend the best of the M5 and the M10 to create the outstanding M15. Those guitars were already incredibly successful, but this luthier’s unstoppable imagination, creativity and curiosity led him to this concert classical guitar which has awed everyone from its introduction at the Musikmesse.
The Bernabe M15 in Cedar has a surprising projection and volume for an instrument priced under $4,000. With hundreds of guitars overpriced in the market today, built by machines and with such a low quality to show for, it’s truly a blessing to find a big name like Bernabe which always offers remarkable musical qualities and aesthetics enchantments. It is our professional assessment that the M15 should cost at least $5,000.
The Cedar Top gives a deep tone, very clean and symmetrical. As its woods have been properly and naturally aged the sound is pure and earthy. Back and sides are made in Macawood which is even more beautiful that Indian Rosewood and provides a superb amount of support which enhances separation, definition and intonation. As every Bernabe, playability is one of its best features. You can definitely focus on your repertoire and technique instead of struggling with an uncomfortable fretboard or antiquated action.
This guitar is light, easy to carry and inviting. As Mr. Bernabe has always studied meticulously the structure of the violin, elements of this instrument have been implemented in the creation of his craft. This explains why the sound responds so easily and it never feels stiff, not even when playing music for the first time.
This is the perfect guitar for a professional player, a collector or aficionado.

We have played music from the last 5 centuries in the M15. Lots of genres. We can't say there's a type of music that can't be played with this guitar; but we can assure you this is no instrument for the background. Its sound will stand out clearly as a solo guitar or as part of an ensemble.
The Cedar top gives a bit of a darker timbre than the Spruce top. However, as factors such as fingernails, pulse, choice of strings, among others, play such an important part in this, you may find this Paulino Bernabé M15 Cedar giving the bright tone of a Spruce.
Paulino Bernabé is one of the best luthiers worldwide. All of his instruments are nothing short than pieces of art, carefully built and investigated upon. Whether you are buying an M15, a Royal or an Imperial, you are immersing yourself into the universe of great sound, power and beauty.
